We are conveniently located within a short drive (2 hours or less) of most locations in Southern California. At an elevation of 5,300 feet in the San Jacinto mountains and surrounded by the San Bernardino National Forest, we are about 50 miles west of the Palm Springs Airport (PSP), 69 miles southeast of the Ontario Airport (ONT), and 120 miles east of the Los Angeles Airport (LAX).
Strawberry Creek Inn Bed & Breakfast is about 1/4-mile South of the center of Idyllwild, a short walk along the creek.
From I-10 East:
- Take the 8TH ST exit
- Turn RIGHT onto 8TH ST.
- Turn LEFT onto LINCOLN ST
- Turn RIGHT onto SAN GORGONIO AVE/CA-243.
- Continue to follow Route 243 to Idyllwild. 23 Miles
- Strawberry Creek Inn is located past downtown at 26370 Route 243 on the left-hand side
From I-10 West:
- Take the Hargrave ST exit
- Turn LEFT onto Hargrave ST
- Turn RIGHT onto LINCOLN ST
- Turn LEFT onto SAN GORGONIO AVE/CA-243.
- Continue to follow Route 243 to Idyllwild. 23 Miles.
- Strawberry Creek Inn is located past downtown at 26370 Route 243 on the left-hand side
From I-215 (Temecula or North)
- Take CA-79 South towards Temecula/Indio
- After about 17 miles make a slight Left onto CA-371 (Cahuilla Road) towards Anza
- When CA-371 ends, turn Left on CA-74
- Take CA-74 to Mountain Center
- Turn Right on CA-243
- Strawberry Creek Inn is located before downtown at 26370 Route 243 on the right-hand side
From I-15 (San Diego or south of Temecula)
(from Temecula, you can also take Winchester Road (CA-79) towards Hemet to Florida Avenue (CA-74);
make a right turn on Florida Avenue; then follow directions below starting with the 3rd bullet)
- Take the CA-74 Exit
- Follow signs towards Homeland, Hemet East
- Drive Through Hemet following CA-74/Florida Ave 20 miles
- Continue to follow CA-74 up the Mountain Road 16 miles
- Turn Left on CA-243 and follow to Idyllwild
- Strawberry Creek Inn is located before downtown at 26370 Route 243 on the right-hand side
